Severn rodeo president Ross Miller says a lot more tickets have been sold for the local stop than they originally thought, with 2, sold in advance for the weekend. Andrew Deschamps is a bullfighter from Quebec who got into the sport after being unsuccessful in bull riding.

Thousands of cowboys and cowgirls flooded ODAS Park to check out the sights and sounds and fast-paced action of what a rodeo is all about. The rodeo itself included barrel racing, bull riding, pole bending, a halftime trick show, and much more. In addition to the rodeo, the Canadian Cowgirls Rodeo Drill Team performed some amazing horseback tricks and horseback dances for the crowd. There were also inflatables for the kids, a mechanical bull where you could test your skills to see if you have what it takes to become a professional bull rider, a rock-climbing wall, and a variety of vendors where you could, among other themed items, select your very own authentic cowboy hat. To end the day, a country dance took place Saturday night at ODAS Park, where hundreds more caped off the day in style.
