Naruto's Senju Clan is known to be one of the strongest ninja clans in the entire story. Having existed long before the formation of the hidden villages, the Senju Clan was always considered to be full of mighty warriors. Some of the strongest characters in the story, such as Hashirama Senju, Tobirama Senju, and Tsunade Senju, come from this clan, so their importance to the story cannot be understated. While the Senju Clan certainly does add a lot of depth to the story, there are things about it that simply don't make sense. Hashirama Senju was quite easily the most important person in the history of the Senju Clan. Not only did he become the strongest person in the Warring States Era, but he was also the only one with the Wood Release Kekkei Genkai. Surprisingly, no other member of this clan had this Kekkei Genkai , which simply doesn't make sense.

The ninja clans in Naruto are a major part of its story. Almost every important character in the series comes from one prominent clan or another. Among the most critical clans is the Senju clan. They are the direct descendants of the Sage of Six Paths, who spread chakra throughout the world. They were one of the strongest clans during the Warring States Period, and co-founded the Hidden Leaf Village, alongside the Uchiha clan.

The Senju Clan was one of the two clans responsible for the founding of the Konohagakure. The Senju do not seem to exist any longer, Tsunade being the last, probably. Nawaki was the grandson of Hashirama Senju and the brother of Tsunade. His dream was to become Hokage, like his grandfather.
