After you send Kotaro to him, you can talk to Kotaro there and he be like "Yo bro this guy a good man, he buries the dead in proper graves". I'm not a newcomer with Fromsoft games, Sekiro deserves a different approach, I think the combat has more similarities with Bloodborne than any other title since it rewards risks over anything else. That said, this boss was frustrating at first, took me like 3 attempts to learn the normal moveset. But then, after that, every time I died, I also learned to counter his powerful movements, they lightning thing was the harderst to counter but eventually mastered it too. This boss is one of the best they made in all franchise since it forces you to counter him using all the mechanincs. Is not like you feeling hardstuck at some point like Midir or Malenia, but instead it feels like you learn something from every death. I hope next bosses will be as good as this one, can't wait to see :D.

Nothing in the first few hours of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice dramatizes the spirit of the game quite like the first time a Rot Essence appears in your inventory. Rot Essence is linked with a disease called Dragonrot that begins affecting your allies early in the campaign. First, the Sculptor catches it, and your conversations together are interrupted by hackingcoughs. Soon enough, nearly everyone you speak with will be hacking and coughing—all because you died too much. In Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice , dying over and over again, beating yourself bloody against the latest boss or tricky sword fight, isn't punishment enough. The first time you get Rot Essence, there's a cutscene.
