The recent Fortnite OG update takes the game back to its original state. Well…kind of. The new season update will retain a few of the mechanics that were introduced in the game over the course of recent seasons.

Season 8 of Battle Royale ran from February 28th to May 8th, A volcano rose up from where Wailing Woods and the Container Yard used to be and covered the northeast part of the map with jungle biome. Pirates also invaded the island and began the events of Season 8. The season features major changes to the map, including a new jungle biome, a giant volcano, lava, Pirate Cannons , pirate campsites and more. Starting from the 24th of February, Epic Games started releasing a Season 8 teasers along with riddles every day until the season began. These teasers revealed part of a larger Season 8 poster, a skull , while the riddles gave us some clues as to how Season 8 would play out. Sssomething shimmers Within the cave

It started on February 28th , and ended on May 8th Season 8 was the first season that could have been purchased for free if you completed all the challenges during the Share The Love Event. Lazy Links was replaced with Lazy Lagoon , a small lagoon containing a pirate ship with a small port. These pirates were seemingly brought to the Island by the events that occurred on the island during the previous seasons, and set out to explore it for adventure and possible treasure. Following their arrival on the map, the pirates set up numerous Pirate Camps throughout the island, as The Prisoner hatched the eggs he collected from Polar Peak , giving birth to The Hybrids. Sometime after the Season had started, an Helicopter started going around the Island as if it was looking for something and, at the same time, The Unnamed Investigation Agency returned and set up a small dig-sites near Fatal Fields , inside Dusty Divot and near Loot Lake , where they found some sort of metal door. The Helicopter then, landed inside Loot Lake and 10 excavators were deployed over to dig in Loot Lake and they seemingly found what they were looking for. What the excavators unearthed was The Vault , a large and mysterious metal hatch surrounded by five big locks with metal slots. Several days later, a holographic image of a glyph appeared above one of the vault locks visibly different in appearance to The Cube glyphs.

The next season of Apex Legends is bringing a slew of additions to the battle royale, and more than just a new legend and an overhauled Kings Canyon. As usual, Respawn is tweaking the floor loot pool to accommodate the new accessories by switching out a hop-up and attachment, but care package weapons will stay the same. This means that the three supply drop weapons are still the Prowler, Peacekeeper, and Kraber. The Mastiff and R will still spawn normally on the ground. The last batch of changes to the care package loot took place in season seven, when the R moved to floor loot and the Prowler took its place. Despite the absence of changes to care package drops, the floor loot pool will see a few tweaks. Gold barrel stabilizers are also out of the picture for the season to make room for the new gold magazines. It has two firing modes: faster, unscoped shots and a charged projectile when aiming down sights. Gold barrel stabilizers will also sit out of season eight to give gold magazines their place in the spotlight.

Competitive players worldwide have put in the time to learn the ins and outs of Chapter 2 Season 8 since its launch in early September. Epic Games altered the loot pool significantly, adding more loot to the map and more generous locations throughout the map. Additionally, team changes have affected the entire competitive scene.
