I use thread tape but the pitch of the tread seams to be deeper thus stripping the tape back as I tighten. I was just wondering what others would recommend to lock the threads. I filled the system to try it n has minor leaks at six threads out of 20 with no options to tighten.

If so what's the best way to configure them. Thanks guys. Hobgoblin , Mar 22, at AM. A lockshield is simply a valve where end user access is restricted - usually by means of a cap which simply rotates without engaging on the spindle. It should be set up by the installer so that the system is balanced. A lot of towel warmers have two of these valves with two different caps and you treat one as the lockshield the return and the other goes on the flow and is adjusted as required for temperature. It sounds like you need to find an adjustable cap for the flow valve if you've got two lockshield caps.
