Copper is the most basic metal in My Time at Sandrock, and players are going to need quite a bit of it if they want to proceed to the next tier of gear. However, getting this resource at the beginning of the game isn't as simple as smashing a few ore veins and calling it a day. Collecting copper isn't exactly rocket science, but it can be a little confusing, especially once players reach a point where they need to make a lot of copper-based items. Here's how to get plenty of this resource early on in My Time at Sandrock. Before getting access to the Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins, the player's main source of copper will be from the piles of Copper Scrap found in the vicinity of their workshop. These spawn randomly and appear as piles of rusty metal. Break these with the Pickhammer to get a handful of Copper Scraps. Small Copper Scrap piles are relatively rare. They may spawn in clusters at times, but there will be some days when very few or even none will appear.
