The Alex Kurtzman-produced sci-fi series centered on an MIT grad student Charlie Rowe and a tech superstar Santiago Cabrera who bring a Pentagon official Jennifer Finnigan a staggering discovery — an asteroid is just months away from colliding with Earth. The show followed the three as they search for a way to divert the asteroid, stop a nuclear war and save humanity before time runs out. The hourlong effort, which premiered in July , returned with a episode sophomore run this summer, which wrapped in September.
