Ruger security 9 safety stuck

It's quite a compact and lightweight hammer-fired pistol designed to be an inexpensive option for self-defense and concealed carry. This pistol with a single-action SA trigger relies on the use of the famous 9mm Luger cartridge. As the Security-9 is a mid-sized handgun, ruger security 9 safety stuck, it means it's equally suitable for both open as well as concealed carry. While dry firing a bit, I noticed that the safety clicked off easily -- as it should -- but was very stiff going back on. But OK, I did it. I cocked the bolt again, flipped the safety up to "safe" and pressed trigger to ensure it would not fire. I now am unable to return the pistol's safety to the fire position. It feels like it's caught on something. The pistol is stock except for the installation of a TK hammer bushing, Ruger grip panels, HI VIZ sights, and a quick polish job with a dremel and mini buffing wheel attachment. It has around 2K rounds through it. With the upper off, the safety moves freely up and down with no binding or problems. Engaging the safety is something I almost never do - as when the gun is not being fired, range rules stipulate that the chamber must be open with a chamber flag visibly placed in the firearm.

David38 August 21,pm I LOVE my subcompact!

If I shift my grip to where I can reach it, my trigger finger is now in position to tilt the muzzle left when I press the trigger. Using to hands to draw and release the safety is only barely better than having to rack the slide. My goal is to be able to draw, release the safety, acquire the target, and fire, and to make it seem like a single, fluid motion. I carry a security 9 on occasions I really dont have problem with the manual safety but better to carry with safety off like a striker fire first pull is hard which acts as a safety. I know the security 9 is not a striker fire it actually has a hammer but it is quite safe with manual safety off. Good luck. I have to dramatically shift my grip to reach the button with my thumb, which is the case with all left-side-only mag releases.

I recently had the chance to test out the Ruger Security 9; while using it in various conditions, I did notice a few issues that could need some attention. Some of these were minor, while others might make you pause.

Lately been reading only about dealers not wanting to help. If it doesn't rain it will snow. With a pair of large pliers I could twist it to the on position. Can they interact in someway to create a problem? I followed his description exactly. I'm sure I'm going to like the EC9. Using to hands to draw and release the safety is only barely better than having to rack the slide. Recommended Communities. He offered to mail me a label, but said the easiest route given my transportation issues and no FedX in this small town would be to just take it back to the dealer and let him send it back to Ruger. With the upper off, the safety moves freely up and down with no binding or problems.
