Defra has today 28 December published its long-awaited consultation on reforms to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations , which have been praised by the new recycling minister, Robbie Moore. The consultation was mistakenly published last week, before it was quickly pulled by the department. Defra said the proposals will mean consumers will be able to recycle their goods during their weekly shop or without even leaving the house. This is a sheer waste of our natural resources and has to stop. Our plans will also drive the move to a more circular economy and create new jobs by making all recycling simpler.

We know that if they are not repaired swiftly, they cause more damage to cars and bikes, and cost more to repair in the long term. I apologise for bombarding not him but his predecessor with text messages over the weekend about the importance of getting support to businesses in Worcester. We have also modernised our licensing system for activities such as dog breeding and pet sales. Homes, schools and fields throughout my constituency have been flooded. The package is made up of two commencement orders and three statutory instruments. Monday 11th July Fly-tipping harms the environment, blights our local communities and burdens our local economy. Lady also asked for clarity on whether a water company could be placed in special administration. From my experience on the Holderness coast, we see coastal erosion happening constantly. This morning, I returned from Alney island in Gloucester, which saw the third highest water levels in the last years. Member for Croydon Central. Lady that we are committed to exploring adding particulate matter and other air pollutant emissions from moorland practices to our national atmospheric emissions inventory. Yesterday we announced that we are significantly increasing our oversight of the water industry. Will the Minister join me in encouraging the council to waste no further time in fixing them, and not to direct the money elsewhere? In conclusion, working with local partners, we have acted swiftly to respond to the recent flooding and to provide funding support for the most affected. The Secretary of State meets with the Chairman of the Sentencing Council periodically to discuss a range of relevant matters, and has a representative attend Council meetings. However, I am of course happy to meet him. As we all know, our waterways are a precious resource and their management is something on which this Government have been leading the way, in taking incredibly serious action against those who pollute. We introduced the statutory instruments to update the existing regulations set in place under the Act so that, should we get to a scenario in which we need to utilise the special administration regime, we are in a position to do so. As I am sure the Minister is aware, there is a lot more to this than simply announcing sums of money that will come through: it is also about delivering schemes to minimise the risk of future flooding events. The answer simply is yes. If we get to a situation where we need to expand the flood recovery fund even further, we will not hesitate to do so. I hope that that work, as well as the regulations, provides some reassurance to the hon.
You are mistaken. Write to me in PM, we will talk.
