The fun match was on a grassy site in Kearny Mesa. Everyone had a wonderful time as the club boasted 15 entries with 5 dogs in its first Parade of Champions. The goal was to bring Ridgeback owners together to become acquianted to have fun with their dogs. Over 30 years later, this is still a primary function of the club. In addition to fun, the club also supports breed rescue, sponsors information seminars for members and guests, and promotes education to the public about our wonderful breed.

Congrats to owner Karen Pipkin! Rainbow Hill is committed to breeding soundness - both physical and mental health with every generation. I breed a few litters a year and strive to produce sound, healthy dogs, that are athletic and intelligent. I carefully select parents of each breeding to emphasize desirable traits and minimize faults in their progeny. My goal is to improve each generation. All genetic health screenings are done on all parents prior to being bred. All my pups are home raised and well socialized with an emphasis on health and temperament. Every pup is veterinarian checked, vaccinated and microchipped before going to their new homes. I will continue to keep learning, trying to breed the perfect Rhodesian Ridgeback. I recognize that I am a privileged guardian of this wonderful breed, and take on that responsibility very seriously.
