The recommended group level for this dungeon is 36 to It will take approximately an hour to clear. While the Kraul is a stronghold for the Quilboar, Razorfen Downs is their resting place. It serves as an ancient burial ground for their race, but it has since been taken over by agents of the Scourge, who have begun to reanimate their dead. Before setting foot in Razorfen Downs, we strongly advise you to get all the dungeon quests related to it.

Razorfen Downs are the ancestral burial grounds of the quilboar , nestled amid huge brambles in the Barrens , on the east side of the far southern edge. The Scourge have taken over much of the downs, and infest the burial grounds with the reawakened dead. The Extinguishing the Idol quest must be started with care to get all party members on it. All party members must accept and turn in the first quest before the second quest is started. In a random LFD group this is often difficult to coordinate. Razorfen Downs has a more menacing atmosphere than many lower level instances before it due to the presence of the Scourge. Loot here is valuable and useful but you can expect a workout in order to get it. If you are between levels , have a group of people you trust, a couple hours or so to spare and are looking for a more intense fight than what you will normally experience below level 45, chances are you will enjoy this instance. As a result of being taken over by the Scourge , the mobs populating Razorfen Downs are predominantly undead. The priest ability [ Shackle Undead ] shines here as a staple form of crowd control. The earlier quilboar mob groups usually consist of one humanoid caster Geomancer or Necromancer and several undead tanks Withered Warriors and Reavers. Another strategy is to have the priest [ Mind Control ] the Death's Head Necromancer and use the mob's version of [ Shackle Undead ] against the nearby undead tanks just before the caster dies.

This is a difficult, long dungeon, but it holds plenty of loot which can make your excursion here worth it. World of Warcraft Classic Season of Discovery phase two re-released several beloved Classic dungeons. Although Gnomeregan got a person raid facelift, Razorfen Downs remains relatively untouched. This five-person instance can still be found in The Barrens alongside many iconic bosses of the dungeon. Razorfen Downs is a massive, sprawling dungeon that covers from levels 37 to At the time of writing, the level cap is only level 40, so this is an incredibly challenging dungeon towards the later stages. For all the effort it takes to complete Razorfen Downs, the loot is well worth it. As phase two wraps up and the level cap expands once more, this dungeon will likely lessen significantly in challenge, letting you more easily get your hands on some of these goodies.
