Hey, y'all! The Commonwealth of Kentucky is chock-full of delicious restaurants - and I'm on a mission to try them all. I was recently invited to lunch at Marcella's Farm to Fork , which is located in Mt. The food at Marcella's can best be described as down home southern cookin'. On their website, the owner claims to cook food "just like mom" - and I completely agree with that sentiment. Each bite, though I was at a new-to-me restaurant, was familiar; nostalgic; and, above all else, absolutely delicious. Marcella's name is also important to note: Farm to Fork. You can taste the difference. My main course at Marcella's was the meatloaf. My friend Tal praised it prior to our arrival and I knew that I had to order it. Though the accolades expressed were high, I must agree: it's the best meatloaf that I have ever put in my mouth. Along with the meatloaf, I ordered three of my favorite southern foods: collard greens, soup pinto beans, and cornbread. That's a holy trifecta as far as I am concerned. While I was too full for dessert, someone ordered the chocolate pie and I was automatically enamored by the mile-high meringue.
