I guess at the given price level, I would expect a bit better food. Bathroom should be gutted: bathroom door doesn't lock even though there is one , shower-head is broken and sprays everywhere, ceiling paint is chipping, shower handle peeling off, and hot water takes a few mins to run. In fact, the food is delicious. Emma and Nick were both amazing, such lovely service. I ordered food, and to say that they were subpar would be an understatement. Friendly service with a nice view of the much photographed Portree houses. The guests can enjoy local food as well as beautiful views of the harbour. Food was fresh but still quite average and definitely expensive. The breakfast the next morning was fantastic, though. Parking can be tricky nearby so best to park elsewhere and stroll over. The owner wasn't very nice at all, half telling us off for sitting at a 4 persons table rather 2, but after a wet and long walk we have bags and camera and clearly need more space. Coming from Sweden, I found this place a bit overpriced. Ended up here as all the other restaurants were fully booked on a Friday evening. Be there early or risk not being able to enjoy it. I love that the meat and fish is locally sourced, the service was good. Food was excellent and we enjoyed every dish at this place. The restaurant gives you the feeling of being in a bar and therefore the dishes are very filling and big as to expect! The beds were comfortable and the sheets were sufficiently thick to keep us warm at night. The food was very tasty and much needed after a long day of walking and exploring. The staff were extremely attentive, friendly and great fun. The food was delicious though, try the fish and the bread with butter- just amazing.
