If I create a local account on the computer I can RD into it but obviously dont have access to the files, desktop, etc.

I recently updated from Windows 10 to Windows 11, and now my Remote Desktop Connection is not working as expected. I enter my login credentials in the RDC client. Previously, when I would login using this method, clicking "connect" would directly login to the computer, and put me on the user's desktop. But now, clicking "connect" brings me to the remote computer's lock screen. I then have to enter credentials again to get in. The lock screen on the remote computer gives me the option to use a pin, but using my pin gives the error message, "Something went wrong and your PIN isn't available code: 0x Click to set up your PIN again.

By configuring Windows hello instead of a password on a laptop, I noticed that you can't get a password prompt at a Remote Desktop login screen when you start an RDP connection. Is there a way to bypass this because the PIN authentication or biometric authentication won't work on the domain network? Users find this very annoying and would like to get the correct login screen sign in with username and password.

They then have to click on the option to log on as another user were they can then enter in a username and password. As they have to do this every time, it is very frustrating for them.
