I've run it in many of old saws that originally required and ratios. While you have the muffler off clean the spark arrestor screen which could be plugged up. That knowledge can live after us Okay so call me lazy but I don't want to have to haul two fuel cans around and most of my cutting will be done with my XT but will be using the Poulan for limbing and smaller stuff. Is there a real difference in the two? Run it at the ratio it says to. What do you think the chances are it fires up new plug and fuel or will I be back here learning how to rebuild the carb? Like Magnus implies, its not so much the mix ratio as it is the oil quality. I switched this summer from 50 to 40 to one or so.
