Here's how to choose between the Dome Fossil and Helix Fossil and what to do with them. Both of these pokemon are Rock - and Water - typespokemon red helix fossil, and both evolve into more powerful Pokemon with the same types.

It's amazing how far the series has come over the years and players now have access to tons of different Pokemon, with many more on the way. It is the counterpart of the Dome Fossil. If brought to the one of the following locations, the Helix Fossil can be regenerated into an Omanyte. The player is unable to regenerate this fossil in the Devon Corporation. Therefore, multiples of them can be obtained, they can be held , and sent to other players via trading. However, Helix Fossil can't be affected by any Special Conditions , can't retreat, and the player may choose to discard it at any time during their turn. When the player attaches a Water Energy from their hand to the Helix Fossil, they get to search their deck for an Omanyte that evolves from a Helix Fossil and put it on top of it. Afterwards, the player shuffles their deck. It allows players to look at the bottom seven cards of their deck, reveal an Omanyte they find there, and put it onto their Bench. The other six cards are then shuffled back into the deck. In addition, it blocks the opponent from playing any Stadium cards from their hand, as long as Antique Helix Fossil is in the Active Spot. It can be obtained from Mt. Moon, and can be resurrected at the lab in Cinnabar Island. For Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum it can be obtained from the Underground after receiving the National Dex, and can be resurrected from the museum in Oreburgh City. It depends on what you truly like! Kabutops Dome fossil , has a higher attack and speed stats. This is great for rock type of attacks, but lacks effectiveness in the water type area otherwise from aqua jet. Oymstar, on the other hand, is a little more defensive, and has a definite better special stat.

It doesn't really matter which one you pick as both have the same limitations. Although these Water creatures are dual Rock types, they can't learn any Rock techniques. This pretty much makes their dual nature more of a liability than a strength. However, they're very strong against Fire types in both Defense and Offense.

They carry no immunities but do have an impressive amount of resistances, able to shed off damage from Normal, Poison, Ice, Fire, and Flying-types. I always have trouble with this one.
