View Staff Posts Post Reply. When I started Path of Exile I had no idea how trading worked. Once I pieced it together the game became much more enjoyable. I think more buyers and sellers can only improve the economy so I put this together. Open up chat by clicking the little speech bubble on the screen. Click the dropdown menu and select Trade. This automatically takes you to trade chat.

Thanks to you, so many of us have completed challenges and reached milestones we wouldn't even have come close to without your help. Thanks to you, what began as a small chat dedicated to master sharing and evolved into a popular medium for grinding challenges has remained a hub of generosity and good will. You're the true heroes here. But despite the amazing success Global has already had, it can still come off as confusing, and it isn't entirely free of the out-of-context or unnecessary bloat you'd expect from a global chat. So what you're about to read is simply some indicative, common-sense advice that I hope can make more friendly, more efficient, and more constructive. I - Global isn't a trade chat Global was conceived as a sharing channel, and even though its reach has now broadened, its core function hasn't. If you're writing in this chat, it's ostensibly to share a master mission, share an encounter, or recruit players willing to start a rotation. Global is supposed to foster a climate of generosity and cooperation, and it would be a shame to ruin it with prices, offers, and fees. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to sell an encounter that's in very high demand - but there's a right place for everything. And there so happens to be a trade chat conceived precisely for that purpose.

Eventually global chat will need to be even further segregated. Chat text is now more readable against light backgrounds.

I enjoy talking to people in online games, but now I just keep to myself and don't feel like conversing with anyone in-game anymore. Don't forget to enable global chat in the first place by clicking the button at the top of the chat box, or you won't see anything no matter what channel you're on. There's 65, global chat channels yes, really!

An overlay for Path of Exile that creates macro popups for trade messages. Also includes a chat scanner, trade history, item ignore feature, color themes, update checker, and more! Popups are automatically created when trade messages are sent or received. Incoming trades are green, outgoing trades are red. There are multiple color themes, as well as a colorblind option to swap green and red for blue and pink respectively. Incoming trades highlight the buyer's name when joining your hideout, and create an info window with item and stash names. This info popup can be hovered to highlight the item, or clicked to search the name in the stash. Stash color coding can be added in the options. Ignore specific item names or generic terms.

I have taken these from other places in hopes of putting it in one place for all to see.
