The history of the vineyard named Quincacius dates back to the end of the 1st century. The discovery of a large quantity of grape seeds on these lands confirms that vines were cultivated locally. Already mentioned in a donation from the Merovingian era, then quoted by Pope Callixte II from the 12th century, Quincy vines are certainly some of the oldest in the region. Overlooking an ancient terrace of the Cher river, the Quincy appellation area benefits from soils dominated by gravel and sand; these are light soils easily warming up under the sun. The subterranean alchemy enables not only the draining of the excess water but also its partial retaining for the vines to withstand dry periods. The unique grape variety of the Quincy appellation, Sauvignon Blanc reaches an optimal maturity on this terroir. The exceptional soils give birth to remarkable white wines, lovely expressions of this varietal. These are full of freshness, accompanied by an aromatic range with exotic fruit nuances, followed by a captivating and balanced finish.
