As fairly regular visitors to the antique emporium and tea room we were happy to see they had reopened. We went midweek and were pleased to see hand sanitizer, most staff wearing masks and a one way system which encouraged social distancing through the antique We had a coffee and cake in the tearoom which was quiet and staff were wearing masks. However, we visited again today Sunday a. Not all staff were wearing masks today and one of them without a mask actually hugged two customers as they were leaving then went on to serve another customer whom she stood right next to, not having sanitizer her hands in between. We didn't feel satisfied that staff were following guidelines and decided we don't feel safe to visit the tearoom again in the foreseeable future.

Lovely vintage crockery, tasty sandwiches and choice of delicious cakes and scones all served by friendly staff. Highly recommended. Will most definitely return. Whether you are interested in vintage or not this cafe really embraces its unique setting. Upon entering Pear Mill follow the instructions on the bicycle outside you are greeted by an expansive warehouse displaying all kinds of vintage whatnots. The vintage tea room is located at the rear of the floor which we were glad to find as all that rooting around resulted in the need for a pick me up. The cafe sits next to beautiful old windows that on the right day; draw in incredible lighting that enhance the experience. The cafe offers the usual vintage cafe trappings such as handmade cakes, milkshakes, glass bottled Dandelion and Burdock drinks and lemonades and of course a variety of teas and coffee.
