This mechanic can be found on a variety of skills as well as NPCs and enemies. They can be temporary or permanent, positive or negative, and so on. Auras can only update their affected targets every ms. All allies within the area of a player's aura skill will receive an aura's buff. Aura effects originating from items or passive skills will not be affected by these stats as they are not considered to be from skills. Skill tooltips only show the base aura stats and do not reflect any increases to aura effect. There is no limit to the number of auras a player can cast, as long as they have the resources to reserve them.

The last is somewhat weak unless you're a summoner, meaning most builds that have auras just use the first two, or just the second if the player in question is too poor to get their hands on an Empower. This, to me, is a pretty stark contrast to the normal way PoE goes about things; by which I mean there's usually a ton of viable support options for any given skill. Auras don't have that, and I think that should be changed. This gem does pretty much exactly what it says on the tin; it's worth nothing that this probably shouldn't affect party members if possible, as party members usually aren't minions. Concentrated Aura. This could also be done by tweaking Concentrated Effect to effect auras, although that might require some weird, roundabout programming. Leveling should increase the aura effect boost, quality should be a minor mana reduction modifier. Reservation to Duration. This gem turns spells with mana reservations into Duration casts, much like Molten Shell is now; it should probably have a significant mana reduction modifier to compensate for having to constantly recast it.
Purity renamed to Purity of Elements. Leveling should improve the effect boost from point-blank range, while quality should improve the area over which it works.
Auras are skills that persistently affect things around you. Most auras, such as 'Hatred', affect you and your nearby allies and party members. They usually grant some sort of benefit, but reserve a portion of your mana for as long as you keep them activated. Some auras instead affect your nearby enemies. The 'Blasphemy Support' turns any supported curse into an aura that reserves some mana and curses any enemy that enters its radius. Reserved mana can't be used or recovered until whatever is reserving it is disabled, so consider whether you will be able to use your skills with the mana you have remaining. Things that change how skills interact with your mana like 'Blood Magic' also apply to mana reservation.

Wrath casts an aura that grants additional lightning damage to the attacks of the caster and their allies and makes their spells deal more lightning damage. Casting once reserves mana to carry a banner which increases the armour and evasion of nearby allies, and reduces the critical strike chance of nearby enemies. This could also be done with an "Targeted AoE" support gem that could work with AoEs besides auras, allowing for cone-targeted Discharges or Freeze Mines or something. Leer Cast grants Damage Aura. Casts an aura that affects you and nearby enemies differently depending on your stance. Replenishing Presence. Prism Guardian Archon Kite Shield. Once placed, it becomes more powerful for each stage gained. I wouldn't mind seeing some viable curse supports either. Most auras, such as 'Hatred', affect you and your nearby allies and party members. Mines detonated by Skitterbots will re-arm and can then be detonated again. Flesh and Stone. Aura Curse sounds like it could be equal parts OP and hilariously useful, although I don't quite see how that would make Curse on Hit more attractive.
