As part of the ongoing project to make updates and improvements to the parkrun website, today we launched a new events map making it easier to find a parkrun event near you, or any of the nearly 2, parkrun events around the world. As you can see in the animation above, you can now toggle between 5k and junior events junior events are currently only in the UK, Ireland and Australia. Clicking the location button at the top right of the map zooms you in to your current location. Or you can use the search box to find a location or event of your choice. Clicking on an event icon brings up a pop-up with an image from that event and further information on where the event is situated. These updates represent a major step forward in our mission to make the parkrun website more accessible, and are the result of several weeks of prototyping and development, and the feedback and testing of over ambassadors around the world. The list of events has been replaced with a bigger interactive map with a range of new features.
