I made these plugins for myself and a few of my friends who wanted a very simple method of doing chroma key compositing.
This is a relatively simple chroma key plugin for removing the green background from an image. And my Alternatives to PDN. As far as photo editing for experienced users, I don't really see this being a commonly used tool over pdn. There's already plenty of alternative, more effective ways of doing what this does. I don't need the background to be a certain, solid color to produce the same thing in the example pictures I've seen. That's just my personal opinion though.

This is similar to other "green screen" plugins, but it uses the secondary color and allows you to configure tolerances. Mainly what I was after in this plugin was the ability to control the "softness" of the effect which you can configure using the "Alpha Falloff" setting. First you'll want to set the secondary color to what you want removed. This can be done by right-clicking with the Color Picker tool:. Next you can adjust the color and shade sensitivities to grab the range of colors around your selected colors you wish to remove. And the reason I made this plugin the Alpha Falloff will control the "hardness" of the effect. Green-screen is the simplest usage of this plugin. While the program does a good job of keying out the green, I find that unless your format and size between the layer are the same this is something of a pain.
