P1131 code ford f150
I have ford f 4. Had a new fuel pump the whole assembly … original equipment not aftermarket installed about 3 months ago mid-June and changed the fuel filter as well. Mostly I drive it only once per week … just long enough to get everything warmed up at least 20 minutes or so, p1131 code ford f150.
P error code. Thread Tools. Hey guys I'm getting the p error on my xlt f 5. I know it's usually a vacuum leak on the pcv hosing, which I did have at the back and replaced as well as other softer joining sections 3 to be exact lol , but I'm still getting this error. Since this is an obvious indication of a lean burning cylinder can I make the assumption my most likely problem is dirty fuel injectors on those cylinders?

P at startup. Thread Tools. Likes: Received 9 Likes on 8 Posts. P during warmup. My '99 4. Code P is upstream bank 1 oxygen sensor too lean. The code will persist for a few weeks, then it will go away for a few weeks. Change in state seems to coincide with filling the tank with gas. I replaced the gas cap and am careful to fully seat it. Engine runs fine: no issues starting, smooth idle, MPG. The CEL comes on 5 minutes after I start the engine. P is the only code. If I clear the code.

Continuing to operate your vehicle with this issue is strongly discouraged, as it may exacerbate the problem and cause further damage to your vehicle. Well, this is not the whole scenario of P code Ford F Read further for the comprehensive solution to this issue. The P code is a trouble code that indicates that the vehicle oxygen sensor in bank 1 sensor 1 is sensing an abnormal flow of oxygen. This code might indicate that the oxygen sensor is not functioning properly, and is not providing accurate readings to the engine control module ECM. In the exhaust manifold on the passenger side of the engine, you will find bank 1 sensor 1. In a Ford F, the P code is often caused by a faulty oxygen sensor, which may need to be replaced. However, there are other potential causes of the code, such as a vacuum leak, a fuel injector problem, or even a problem with the catalytic converter. The faulty upstream oxygen sensor, faulty wiring, and improper fuel pressure are some of the issues that trigger the P code. Have a look at the table below for a quick overview of the causes and solutions of this trouble code.

The error code P is displayed by getting feedback from the Lambda or the oxygen sensor. The Lambda sensor is responsible for detecting the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gases. Based on that, the PCM Powertrain Control Module manipulates whether the engine is running on a lean or rich fuel mixture. A lean running condition of the engine happens when the engine runs on less fuel or too much air , ultimately resulting in the error code P on Ford vehicles.

If I shut it down, let the engine cool, and restart, it returns. Possible cylinder head temp sensor causing a reading for to much fuel that could be season sensitive, if marginal. Best you can do is go with air leak first and test the other possibilities and look at live data to see when you got the repair. Then you have graduated to being a true technician. Thread Tools. Its impossible to figure out what is wrong with a vehicle without it in front of you. The opposite of rich is lean. Gotta love the snottyness with no remedy for correction , thanks Ive read those a thousand times on fords website, now perhaps you can be helpful and give instructions on how to test for failure on A-E or should one just start replacing parts lol?
Completely I share your opinion. In it something is also to me it seems it is excellent idea. I agree with you.
