Driving the other day my check engine light came on with the warning listed above, p0457 ford escape. It was not the first time ,the first time I was told p0457 ford escape was dust or dirt in there and they cleaned it out and was ok. I brought it in and they ran an emissions test ,it passed so it is not covered by warrantyThey got error codes p,p and pthey diagnosed it as occasional faulting canister purge valve. They recommend a replacement purge valve
