Our cow molly dairy ice cream

Our Cow Molly is the last dairy farm in Sheffield that processes and bottles its own milk. We have been working with Our Cow Molly and supplying its milk and ice cream since after visiting their dairy farm in Dungworth, Sheffield. The Our Cow Molly dairy is family run and started in , going back three generations. Two thirds of the milk produced on the farm used to be sold to a large distributor, but fierce competition amongst supermarkets meant the farm was losing money and under threat of closure. As a result of the agreement with the University, Our Cow Molly has been able to borrow and invest in a new state-of-the-art dairy and secure a sustainable supply of milk to the University and to Sheffield as a whole. The University now receives the freshest milk delivery in the UK, with the milk travelling only four miles from the cow to the coffee shop on the very same day. Our partnership not only supports the local community and sustainable dairy farming, it brings many added benefits. Locally produced milk has a nutritional value to our students and improves the quality of our products. As milk ages, its nutrition and flavour decline. Located in the small village of Dungworth, on the edge of the Peak District, Our Cow Molly is dairy farm that have been delighting Sheffielders with their artisanal ice cream since Come up to the farm and enjoy an ice cream in their parlour or grab one their bright pink benches outside and enjoy the stunning views looking out across the city. As well as the ice cream shop, you'll get to see the farm where all the magic happens and where they also regularly have new born calves, lambs and hens for you to meet. Fresh milk, rich cream and excellent butter are all loved by those, who use Our Cow Molly in their homes or businesses. The primary ingredient was therefore not only local and fresh, but also envied by Italian gelato maestros — and that alone is saying something. All of the flavours, including the classic Vanilla or unusually delicate Mint Choc Chip, are free of artificial nonsense; seasonal flavour specials are made literally by chucking the festive cakes into the machine.
