Segal starts off with an introduction to talk about what a typical day in her life is like and why she came up with these recipes to work with her lifestyle. Whether you hunger for healthy, fresh fare, or char-grilled "man-food", light sweets or decadent treats -- you'll find those here. I highly recommend adding this cookbook to the family cookbook collection for flavorful meals. Each recipe includes how she came up with the recipe and what her tasters have said. Follow SideChef.
We all know the drill: Nurture a successful food blog by adding consistently beautiful pictures and recipes worth filing away, attract a gaggle of loyal followers—then sign a cookbook deal. Sounds easy, no? We hear this story often enough, but it is rarely mentioned what kind of work and dedication goes into such a project.
Whether you hunger for healthy, fresh fare, or char-grilled "man-food", light sweets or decadent treats -- you'll find those here. Most of the recipes looked easy to follow with no weird or random ingredients. I recommend the soup recipe that was Chickpea, Lentil and Vegetable soup. Pictures are great and the directions are clear and easy to follow. Food looks divine! I clearly love to cook but I am so much more than that. They include sourcing tips for unusual ingredients, substitutions, make ahead suggestions and more. She has broken the book into two parts, Weeknight Recipes and Weekend Recipes. Lots of healthy, yummy recipes! Come share how I turn frustration and anger into a lovely meal. The weeknight dinners are eye-pleasing and flavorful as well as the weekend recipes being more luscious.
