Looking for honest feedback. The first 80 are arranged by artist first name, the top are entries and older pre-war classics finish the list. I am open for anyone to make comments or suggestions. Great lyrics, incredible hook and his first bona-fide hit. The only other of his on other lists worth considering is "Don't Rock the Jukebox" but this is the better of the two songs. The Willis song deserving on the list with the twin Texas fiddles making it a classic. Could be argued as one of the best songs of its kind ever to be recorded. Few singers are as attached to a single song in such a long career and while Glaser's version has its fans, for most, it will remain a Bobby Bare song. While most lists feature Anderson's work as a writer, few list any work of him as a singer. He had his share of number one hits, including "Still" and "I Get the Fever," but this early song of his in the closing days on the honky-tonk period is sadly overlooked and could be argued by purists to be his best work as a singer.
