According to the map there should be three? I assume I just haven't paid close enough attention while searching since it gets so cold I can't stay there long that plus a ice wyvern patrols that area on my single player game so that is always a distraction. I'd try a YouTube video, I think there is one or two that show you the locations for the oil vein on Ragnarok. The Rag devs like to partially bury oil veins under rocks makes some of them quite hard to find sometimes. I still havent found the one supposedly in the SW islands but I did find the one buried under two rocks that's on the rock pinacle sticking out at the end of the Wyvern area opposite those islands lol. You say you don't want to use the north ones and that's all fine, but you are aware there are three right next to each other and another one within a stones throw on the ice section above the end of Viking bay aren't you? Never need to hunt oil again once you get those puppies oil pumped up. The other is just inside the ice area if you fly straight up from there. All the youtube videos I watched more than I want to admit were for the same locations closer to the north west. I guess the Viking Bay area. Like in my OP I am not based near there and not looking for those.
