I just got this and believe it never gets used up but my question is this I assume the soul disappears then I have to go back out and recapture a soul? Since you can only have one azuras star regardless of its benefits over a grand soul gem how would it not be annoying vs having like 50 grand soul gems in your inventory with souls in if you have to keep going to fight one enemy over and over. I assume you cant enchant stuff outside of the arcane university. And the question is pretty self explanatory but I guess I'll break it down for you again.
