However, it seems that trying to make the old parts seem completely new is harder than it seems. I have been meaning to try and make the cardan shaft housing and swingarm of the motorcycle seem spotless, but some of the dirt spots are not coming off after severe scrubbing with a sponge and some warm water.

Not ridden one but many despatch riders down south used them in abundance , I think the chain version was a "Bros" Jap Import or and they preffered the Revere , they nicknamed the one above Yep, them and kwak gts used to be courier's choice oop north too. Bros product one and Product two and Revere were all chain drive, both the bros models were grey imports, however the Revere sold here was cc, to later evolve into the cc NTV, the GT hawk was also chain drive. Boxy but good! That same frame and basic engine is still inside the Deauville as said, if you look at the frame area around the footrest hangers, it's the same as the new model Deauville. Probably a bit dull, that motor has a low redline, about 8k and it feels rough above 7k.
