Midweek Pampering… What a delightful 3-day wellness sojourn replete with hearty, flavourful cuisine, and diverse therapeutic treatments! The countryside setting was breathtaking with gently rolling hills, fall foliage, a variety of outdoor seating with firepits, and hikes in the forest. Nice touch to provide an assortment of teas. Thanks to servers, Molly, Mary, and Courtland for their warm hospitality! Kudos to estheticians, particularly Keshav, for his outstanding masterful skills, as well as AK and Andrea! At the eleventh hour, due to an error at the front desk with our travel arrangements, Preetika rose to the challenge and transported us to the VIA Rail train station.

Today we are sharing the history of Northumberland Heights. Originally the property was a farmhouse still the oldest section of the property owned by a German family Mike Theile who converted it into a restaurant serving exclusive German Cusine — especially the German Schnitzel. In , Mike and his Chef Sadie gained so much popularity that people use to come by chopper, just to enjoy the schnitzel and high end liquor. Over the years with the success of the venture the family added a dining room, a banquet hall and 14 rooms for the guests to stay over.

They are an acre haven on the rolling Northumberland Hills just an hour away from Toronto. Onsite you will find a sophisticated Banquet Hall with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment able to host up to guests for any corporate meetings, events, and weddings along with sprawling gardens for hosting outdoor get-togethers.

The room was not as clean as I'd like dust bunnies under the bed, dusty lampshade, floors not super clean. The staff were all very welcoming and kind. Spa facilities. The wait staff pleasant and efficient, but the front desk person had a let's call it strange attitude like 'I am only doing what I was told', and the 'manager' was sharp with our organizers and some staff and conversely fake pleasantly mannered with guests.
