If a patient requires specialized treatment beyond the expertise of our North Shore internal medicine doctors, referrals can be made to other specialists in the Partners HealthCare network, including to specialists at North Shore Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital. In addition, all of our North Shore internal medicine group physicians use electronic medical records, which helps them deliver more accurate and effective care. As a patient you have access to Patient Gateway, a website for communicating with your internal medicine practice. Patient Gateway lets you make appointments, request referrals to other specialists, view test results, and communicate with your doctors using secure email.
