I think the difference is pretty straight forward for human enemies, but what about yokai?

Final Blow is when you hit them when they're on the ground. You can use Final Blow on Yokai as well, when you've broken their horns and they're lying there for a few seconds. Every strike you make does both HP damage and Ki damage. You can see this by paying attention to the Ki bar under every enemiey's health bar as you attack them.

Do you stab them with the dagger grapple , stab them with horizontal poke grapple - pretty much only applicable to rokurokubi or impale them into the ground final blow? That said, Confusing a Yokai inflicting two elements at the same time will Ki Break them automatically, and is an awesome thing to use on some of the more annoying bosses like Shigepede or just to make Onryoki even easier. I like grapples and final blow. Grapple opportunities are also good for a moment to spam skill attacks - with a strong skill that is fast and hits once; you could knock their ki out for the grapple - but instead of grappling use a skill attack to make them fall and another skill attack for extra damage plus a final blow right after that and another skill as they stand up. You can also temper final blow damage on weapons this does not conflict with other damage boosts except for grapple damage and some sets like Kingo have set bonuses that boost it.. So basically grapple should always be the way to go since you can apply it to way more enemies. When we eventually get Nioh Lupinos 2 years ago 3 Basically - when enemies fall to the ground and your strong attack is a downwards stab. I use them. Some yokai attacks yoki, underworld Soldier, Konaki-Jiji, etc or skill attacks twisting spear, focused strike, roar, etc can make them roll backwards during which a hit will keep them grounded for a final blow. I'm also curious what flurry skills can do significantly more damage than a critical grapple stab since those can do like 80k damage, maybe only OP skill like beyond infinity with perfect inputs or dragon dance might do more dmg within the same window, and dragon dance probably not even significantly more. You can see this by paying attention to the Ki bar under every enemiey's health bar as you attack them. Kusari and Dual Swords are alright at it, and Sword and Spear, while they can Ki break, usually aren't worth the effort compared to straight damage and positioning.

So, to circle back to your initial question Does anyone knows this? I feel pretty certain at least all yokai bosses definitely don't. Store Page. My argument is - that bowls would die in out of ki opportunities; psh, it's rude to kill them that quick - some of us are actually trying to play the game, not skip it for bragging rights at the end. For the most part, it's not worth going for Ki break specifically, unless you're using a weapon that specializes in Ki damage Tonfa are great for this, with Odaci and Axe doing a pretty good job as well. But yeah, it's definitely not something so serious that would piss me off since human enemies would die pretty fast anyway. Final blow is a pretty regular thing once you start knocking out enemy ki frequently. What you do when the enemy is out of ki can greatly change how quickly you kill them.
