Anyway, I can confirm taunt drops here. Also, taunt is the most OP chip in the entire game. It stacks mutiplicatively with Melee damage up items, which doubles the bonus of whatever you do with taunt.

You may be Taunting prematurely, hence why it may not connect -- start the Taunt animation when you see the shadow of the boss appearing; not sooner, not later. To taunt while playing as 2B and 9S, the player will need to obtain a Taunt Up support chip and equip it.

Taunt is a pretty interesting chip that you can equip in NieR: Automata. This mission can only be unlocked after clearing the main mission in the Forest Zone and reporting back to Pascal.
