League Description. This league is ONLY meant for developing teams, in their first year of competition, to compete against other developing teams. We will continue to offer this League each spring. Especially since it is intended for new athletes, the New Shooter League rewards week-by-week improvement, not just overall performance! One game each week against another team in the league. Each team gets two bye weeks, competing in a total of eight matches. All team members must be "New Shooters," defined as athletes who had their first competition after 1 August of the previous calendar year. For instance, to compete in the 4 season, all competing athletes must have had their first competition after 1 August Team members must be active, participating members of the same local club; all-star teams are not allowed. Teams must be composed of at least four eligible athletes. To help encourage the development of young athletes and recognize top performers, we provide as many awards as possible to deserving teams and their team members.
