The shoe was limited to just pairs worldwide, and it sold out absurdly fast. For his first take on the New Balance v4, Freshgoods pays tribute to the crime drama, Belly. While its initial reception wasn't that great we're talking low 20 per cent rotten rating on the Tomatometer here , over the years, it gained itself a solid cult following, going on to inspire trainer collections like this one 25 years later. Glossy leather details make their way across the uppers of each pair, and the midsoles are infused with Encap tech for added comfort and cushioning. As with anything Freshgoods, expect this collection to sell out fast.

The relationship between Joe Freshgoods and New Balance has been prolific. Known for storytelling through design, Joe Freshgoods, the moniker of Joseph Robinson, has carved a unique niche within the sneaker community, primarily through his New Balance collaborations that often reflect personal narratives and community-driven themes. As for the v4 itself, it comes in three different colorways. One, dubbed " Intro " sees white and grey appear on the overlays and black on the underlays. The " Outro " sees a similar mix, though the placement is inverted.
