You just turn the internal rod anti-clockwise until the rod is approximately 1 inch wider than the window. Then you simply push the rod together so that it squeezes inside the recess.

Tension rods are suitable for lightweight voile and net curtains that have a slot top heading, bowing may occur if a heavier curtain is used. Diameter : The end of the pole measures approximately 21mm in diameter, and the remaining pole measuring approximately 16mm - this will fit a 4cm slot or bigger. Size: Sizes shown are the minimum and maximum length each pole extends to, however to create ample tension we advise that you choose a rod that extends wider than your recess by at least 20cm. A greater tension, creates a stronger and firmer hold for your curtain. Alternatively twist the rod from inside the recess until it is firmly in place. Do not over twist the rod, as this can disable the spring from working. Due to the length, we recommend that you source a centre support for this rod to prevent bowing.
