Alaina: I got into true crime mainly through horror [movies] and, like, scary things because that's always been my thing. Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark made me realize that I like spooky stuff. That book totally unhinged the door and then once I started reading more horror stories, I noticed a lot of overlap with true crime. So all of a sudden, I started veering into the genre and then I just couldn't stop.
