Needle is a character in Mirror's Edge Catalyst. He is the tattoo artist who gave Faith Connors her eye and arm tattoo in the Catalyst universe and can be seen in the cutscene of Faith receiving her tattoos in the game's announcement trailer. According to Catalyst's design director Erik Odeldahl; Needle was planned to have a larger role in the game but this plan was scrapped as they felt he "wasn't necessary to tell the story". Although cut from the game he still briefly appears in the ending cutscene where Faith gets tattooed but his face is not shown as the cutscene only shows close-ups of the tattoos being drawn on Faith's body. Faith Connors is the main protagonist of Mirror's Edge. She is a Runner and the sister of Kate Connors. Faith was born into a family of 4, growing close to her mother, Erika, while Kate grew close to their father.
