One of the two main characters is Marinette whose alter ego is the super hero Ladybug. Although there are quite a few characters that are important to the storyline. Which is why for me there are really only 2 main characters in this show. Marinette is your typical teenager. I see a lot of people questioning how oblivious Marinette and some of the other characters are to obvious things. I know that in a show things are exaggerated for the sake of the storyline. I think that needs to be kept in mind but also that some people watching the show need to view it from their teenager lens. I know as a teen I was oblivious to a lot of stuff. Now when I look back I smack my forehead and laugh because it seems so obvious. At first she is a bit reluctant to become Ladybug. Especially when she makes a mistake, she starts to doubt herself. Eventually though she does step into the role and I think Ladybug has helped Marinette. The Marinette character has changed from some of the lessons she learns while being Ladybug. She is a bit more bold and able to stand up for herself.
