Minn kota trolling motor wont turn left or right

User Name Remember Me? Minnkota won't turn left. Minnkota Power Drive was working fine, no signs of acting up, then at once it wouldn't turn left with the foot control. Everything else was working. Got back to camp and tried another foot control and got the same results. The I-pilot will of course be the 1st choice for a new one, but if I can get this back one the road for a couple hundred, I will.

Other possibility is a cable snapped. I agree with Bass N Spear here, sounds like a foot pedal. Black-billed magpies. I can't think of what else to try, and I can't stop fishing for more than a few days so leaving it at the shop for a week or two isn't an option. I would take the new circuit board back and try the compass board, my dad's did the same thing. Anybody else have suggestions? If it has, you will need a new shaft. You will have to deploy the motor, drop the bearing retainer, disconnect the wiring and steering, remove the lower control box head and slide the shaft up to see the screws that hold the pinion on.
I think, that is not present.
