Now when I tried to add device thru settings, the setting kept searching for bluetooth device but I only see 'unknown' devices showing up. Not the microsoft wedge bluetooth keyboard that I was expecting. BUT when I checked the device manager, the wedge keyboard is listed under bluetooth devices. I tried to uninstall the device and have it added by the system again.
