Set up by Charles Lumley in with a lot of help from friends and family! Taking inspiration from other bottle shops in bigger towns and cities, Charles wanted to create the area's only specialist beer shop. Previously there had been nowhere else in the area to buy world beers or local ales in bottles. The shop's manager and Charles' brother in law Ryan is now in charge of the day to running of the shop, but Charles can usually be found "helping out" at weekends. The shop has continued to evolve and now stocks local and craft ciders as well as premium locally produced spirits. After several successful temporary events, we were granted a licence to allow us to host a pop up bar every weekend. Being a proud member of the Cleethorpes community, we love every opportunity to interact with our customers so please call in or get in touch.

For years, people around the globe have left messages in bottles and thrown them into the sea for various purposes. But rarely have they heard back. In an unexpected turn of events, a woman scuba diving in a river in Michigan, US found a message in a bottle nearly years later. But what made it even more special was that she managed to trace it and found the daughter of the man who had written the letter! The woman, a boat captain, was in the water to wash the windows of the vessel when she saw a shining object that got her attention — a tiny green glass bottle with a roll of paper inside. As a collector of items found during her scuba diving experiences, the old-fashioned bottle caught her eye. The bottle was sitting about 10 feet underwater on the riverbed, she told CNN. She added that the bottle was two-thirds water with a damaged cork.
