As summer nears, several of the city's swimming pools are opening or gearing up to open. And there are several safety regulations in place due to the pandemic. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are no scientific reports of the virus that causes COVID spreading to people through the water in pools, hot tubs, water playgrounds, or other treated aquatic venues. Lane reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance by calling the aquatic center during operational hours or online at cityofelpaso.
