The Star Wars content that Disney did put out has, for me, been an exercise in diminishing returns. As I'm sitting here typing this, I'm looking up at shelves full of multiple copies of Star Wars movies on various physical media formats and walls covered with Star Wars action figures. I felt a great calm as I realized that the gap between the direction that Star Wars is going and my expectations for quality, meaningful storytelling and character development has grown too large for me to bridge.
