Talk to other parents whose children are preparing for university on our Higher Education forum. My son applied in October and still hasn't had any 'email with an application ID'? He has emailed and had no response. He's now filling in a contact form and planning to phone tomorrow. Should he have heard something more concrete by now? They asked him to send a questionnaire back which he's done, but that was a while ago now. As per student room LSE has not given out any offers and will be giving them out from the end of this week. When did your DC apply? There was an email stating their offers will be delayed this year. DS1 hasn't heard from LSE either yet.

Each application we receive is carefully considered on an individual basis, taking into account the full range of information presented on the UCAS application form. The information below is designed to help our prospective applicants who may have queries ranging from preferred subject combinations, our stance on retakes, and the manner in which we assess the information presented in your application. As you will see from the application data provided on our individual programme pages , there is a great deal of competition for places at the School. In , we received around 26, applications for 1, places. This fierce competition for places means that meeting or exceeding the entry requirements does not guarantee that an offer will be made, and every year we unfortunately have to disappoint many well-qualified applicants.

Only a few programmes have deadlines by which you should apply — decisions are mostly made on a rolling basis, which means that a programme will close once all of the available places have been filled. You must therefore check the current availability of your chosen programme s and submit your application early to give yourself the best chance of obtaining a place. Many scholarships, however, especially for research programmes, have early deadlines. See individual programme pages and the fees and funding page for details of particular deadlines.

Recruiting is tough because it's London, and you're up against tons of great candidates - all the Oxford and Cambridge kids want those jobs too. Aren't you contradicting yourself here? He has emailed and had no response. I still averaged a first in year 1. The LSE is quite small I also read economics there and those who engage can get to know others quickly. That's really interesting to read Needmoresleep as ds has applied for Econometrics. Many of our email responses are database driven and may end up being mis-directed into your junk mail folder. He got an early offer from his fifth choice, but they then announced they were expanding their department and changing the course, so he was not keen. I posted on a different thread earlier today mentioning that ds had received a "response delayed" type email a few weeks ago as chopc mentions. Long term bf lives in canada and likely won't be moving out for a while waiting for his citizenship etc , is canada really that bad? Position Trader vs Swing Trader.

DS was lucky in that he has always been fascinated by economics, so made a good number of friends, from just about everywhere, both UG and PG, who shared this interest. You will get a great education by turning up for teaching and putting in reasonable effort, but it is also possible to get lost. A lot of people I know on courses like philosophy and econ like it. I'd never heard of it until he started looking at course. He finally got an acceptance on about 17 March. Eum possimus non numquam ut eius accusantium sapiente. Maybe at Masters level it does I still averaged a first in year 1. FYI, your competition doesn't need the help of careers service. Senior Neanderthal. We're completely aware of how stressful this is for applicants. Aren't you contradicting yourself here? Don't think I could have coped DS calculated that he could have graduated and only have taken two economics courses. Not really.
In it something is also to me it seems it is good idea. I agree with you.
