All of our towels are made sustainably and ethically in a small Turkish community, loom towels. They are slowing woven by hand on old shuttle-looms and finished with beautiful hand-tied tassels, keeping with traditional craftsmanship.

Loom Towels create gorgeous designs and have recently added blankets and throws to their ever-growing range. These limited edition towels and textiles are designed in Melbourne by Mikala James, and handmade in a small family-run workshop in Turkey on year-old shuttle looms. Mikala designs every collection, blending inspiration from the traditional craft with a modern vibe, and her own sense of style. At Loom Towels they believe in supporting traditional craftsmanship and have all of their products hand woven in southern turkey. The treasured shuttle-looms have been passed down from generation to generation, with the oldest one being over years-old. Traditional methods are applied to the entire process including the most magnificent hand-tied fringing and tassels, some of which can take hours to complete. All dyes are also organic, and every product is un-treated, non-coated and chemical free. This means the products are long lasting, with excellent absorbency and plushness. Search Products.
