Cops-and-lawyers procedural with headline-inspired storylines and two distinct halves: the investigation of the crime, followed by the prosecution of the case in court. The first half-hour of each episode is devoted to the men and women who investigate crimes and the second dramatizes the experiences of the individuals in the judicial system who bring the associated criminals from those cases to justice.
