Affix Shards are consumable items which influence modifiers that are present on equipment, last epoch affixes. They can be added to most equipment through the use of crafting. Affix shards primarily drop from Enemies and Containers throughout Eterra. The player can pick them up like other items, taking up 1 square of space in the Inventory.

Last epoch affixes

Affixes are the modifiers on equipment that exist in addition to Implicits. They can be present on the item when it is dropped, or they can be added and modified later through Crafting using Shards. The number of affixes on an item often determines its Rarity. Affixes have 7 tiers, with tier 1 being the lowest and tier 7 being the highest. However, only tier 1 through 5 can be created through crafting. Tier 6 and 7 affixes must be on the item when it drops. The values of an affix at each tier fall within a range, but the lowest roll of a tier is always higher than the tier below it. The value an affix has on an item can be re-rolled within its tier using a Rune of Refinement. Affixes are broken into two main categories: prefixes and suffixes. Forgot your password? In this guide, we will introduce some advance crafting techniques that are used in the endgame to create wildly powerful items called Legendaries. We will go over what components are needed and how you use an endgame dungeon called the Temporal Sanctum to access the crafting bench needed. Last Epoch's crafting system goes a step further in the endgame, allowing you alter not only your rare items but Uniques as well. This is an advanced crafting technique that involves the Eternity Cache. The Eternity Cache takes two components to work; a unique with at least 1 Legendary Potential and an exalted item of the same base. The exalted item must not have any sealed affixes or be altered in any way for this to work. The Eternity Cache is located at the end of Temporal Sanctum dungeon, after you beat the final boss, Julra.

Uniques are often exceptionally powerful items, but there are a lot of them and they vary greatly in value. When a shiny new Unique drops, how do you determine whether it's a Best in Slot BiS or an item that you can safely leave behind if the affixes don't appeal to you? While it would be unrealistic to list every Unique here and give it a relative value, we can tell you about some of the most useful and sought after ones in the game! Keep in mind that just because an item doesn't make the list doesn't mean it's useless. We had to cut off the list somewhere, which means some items that didn't make it will still be good in the right circumstance. Instead, we recommend using this guide as a way to start understanding what makes Uniques valuable while also making sure you don't miss some of the best stuff.
