It was designed around virtual reality support, with availability first on Android -driven Samsung Gear VR , [2] with later ports to supported devices on Microsoft Windows , OS X , PlayStation 4 , and Linux ; though could be played without virtual reality in some cases. An update for the game released in August removed the virtual reality requirement for these existing systems, as well as included releases for the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. The game is designed to be played with at least two players, with one player as the "Defuser", playing the game on a device supporting both keyboard and mouse, touchscreen and gamepad controls, as well as support for virtual reality headsets , and the remaining players as the "Experts" reading the provided bomb defusal manual. The Experts and the Defuser can communicate with each other either directly from across a table, or online using a separate voice service. Each bomb in the game consists of multiple modules; the modules are independent of each other and can be disarmed in any order. Disarming these modules requires the Defuser to relay visual indicators to the Experts, who then use the manual to determine what actions the Defuser to take. Other modules are "needy": they cannot be disarmed, and demand periodic attention to prevent them from causing a strike while the bomb is still armed. Each bomb will also have a countdown timer; if the timer reaches zero, the bomb will explode. Bombs will also have a maximum number of strikes resulting from errors made during defusing also speeding the timer , and if that maximum is reached, the bomb will also explode. Other obstacles to the Defuser include the lights in the virtual room going out momentarily, and alarm clocks that will distract the Defuser.

It's been so long and I've almost forgot…. Welcome to the wiki. I'm the former admin here. This is a boilerplate wiki for the video game Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. This wiki is inactive. Details are here and I remain available with any questions. The Piano Keys module presents the defuser with one octave of piano keys, ranging from low C to high B.

The vanilla version of Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes has a set of missions in the blue folder labelled Bombs. These are tutorial missions that are designed to teach you how to navigate a bomb and solve modules to disarm it. Once each section is complete, the next section will be uncovered. As the game starts it will guide you through the Game Overview and Roles and Controls. The next available mission is The First Bomb. These missions introduce those modules rated as easy or very easy for the defuser and expert. Some of the easier modules will also be included. These missions introduce one of the three vanilla needy modules, Capacitor Discharge , Knob and Venting Gas. All of the other modules learned so far will be included in these missions. These missions are meant to test the Defuser's and Expert's skills.

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is a local multiplayer party game for two or more players. The objective of the game is to defuse a bomb before time runs out by using the instructions found in the Bomb Defusal Manual. One player takes the role of the bomb Defuser. All other players take the role of Experts who must use the Bomb Defusal Manual to guide the Defuser through the challenging task of defusing a bomb. This document lists, on the next page, a bunch of links to custom merged HTML versions of those bomb defusal manuals I made, as well as information about these manuals on the pages thereafter for anyone who may be interested.

It seemed like the mod-makers were focusing on big, intricate puzzle-modules and neglecting the simpler ones. A neat module I came up with, although it was in limbo for quite a while. How to fix it: Play Zork , and Myst , and Monkey Island , and Grim Fandango , and then design a clever module around those game ideas while being very carefly not to actually require the defuser or expert to have knowledge of any of those games.
